Join the GSA!

An incredibly important club for the LGBTQ+ students at Westmont, the Gender-Sexuality Alliance provides a safe space for queer community at school. While many students feel “othered” in a world where gay people face discrimination, GSA allows for students to bond over these feelings and celebrate their differences. The club president, James Harper, says, “GSA is a comfortable lunch space open to anyone, every Wednesday. We brief the group on some news and media, organize projects, discuss history, and facilitate discussion. We also work hard behind the scenes to represent queer students at the school and district level.” If you are a member of the LGBTQ+ community or want to learn how to be a better ally, I encourage you to join GSA.
