The NBA playoffs are underway and it is more exciting than ever. The Milwaukee Bucks and the Denver Nuggets both earned the first seed in their respective conferences. This year’s playoffs have felt extra exciting this year as all 8 first round games were played within a 36 hour period. The biggest upset so far was the number one seed Milwaukee Bucks falling to the Miami heat in a bad loss 130-117.
In the Western Conference there hasn’t been any crazy upsets…yet. The Golden State Warriors suffered a tough loss against the Sacramento Kings after being up late in the 4th quarter and blowing the lead. The second round of the playoffs will start around the beginning of May considering that some series will need to go to game 7. My NBA finals prediction is the Boston Celtics v.s the Denver Nuggets, I see the series going 4-2 to the Boston Celtics.
The Minnesota Timberwolves snuck into the 8th seed spot after beating the Oklahoma Thunder in the “Play-in Tournament”. In my opinion they don’t deserve that 8th seed spot more than the Thunder and it shows after losing game one against the Nuggets by nearly 30 points 109-80, on January 22nd when the Thunder and the Nuggets met earlier in the season the Thunder actually beat the #1 seed nuggets by 2 points 101-99.
