Warrior Wardrobe: Matteo Infante

By Elika Kalami

Strutting the halls of Westmont High School, junior Matteo Infante and his astounding style have grabbed the attention of all his peers. Vintage jackets, comfortable clothes, and coordinating colors — such qualities set Matteo’s style aside from others. According to Kyra Bito, Matteo “greatly expresses himself through his style; it’s pretty cool.”  For this issue’s Warrior Wardrobe, I’ve had the privilege of interviewing Matteo and gaining insight into his clothing choices. Below is an exclusive interview with this issue’s fashion icon:

What are three words to describe your style?

Three words id use to describe my style are soft, earthy, and smart.

Who are your fashion icons?

Some of my fashion icons are Tyler Akonma, Nago, Kit Connor, and Ethan Nguyen.

What is your go-to item in your closet?

Currently, my go-to item in my closet is probably a corduroy coat from Gap that I recently thrifted.

Where do you get your clothes from?

I get my clothes from any nearby thrift stores like Goodwill and Crossroads, and occasionally from stores like Zara in Valley Fair.

What is a fashion trend you love? What is one that you hate?

A fashion trend I love is the reusing and new love for vintage clothes.

I wouldn’t say I hate any fashion trends, but one I dislike might be sweatpants on guys that are a little too tight haha.

How long do you spend planning outfits?

I’d say that I spend around 10 minutes every morning planning an outfit.

Do you have any fashion advice for your peers?

Some fashion advice I’d give to my peers is to not be afraid to stray from their comfort zone and try something new and out there. Don’t be afraid of what others think, it only really matters if you like what you wear.
