Cotswold Review

By Carter Cormier

I recently tried Cotswold cheese from Trader Joe’s and was pleasantly surprised. It ranked near other fantastic cheeses such as Muenster and Gruyère. The texture was a little buttery with an engaging tang. A nutty side note smoothly complimented overall flavor. All in all, I would recommend Cotswold and would definitely purchase this cheese again. It went well with the crackers, would go great on a Charcuterie board, and pair well with numerous other cheeses.

Fun fact: Cot means “a little house or hut” and Wold means “a pasture or forest.” Together, it’s interpreted to mean where sheep could graze or “sheep enclosure on rolling hillsides.”
