The Perfect Cookies for the Holiday Season

To get into the winter and holiday mood, enjoy these hot chocolate cookies to eat while bonding with family, watching holiday movies, or partying with friends!

Ingredients:

¾ cup butter softened

¾ cup of sugar

¾ cup packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour

½ cup instant hot cocoa mix (about 3 packets)

3 tablespoons baking cocoa

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder

1 cup marshmallow bits

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.  In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa mix, baking cocoa, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.  Gradually beat in the butter and sugar mixture.  
  3. Gently stir in marshmallow bits and chocolate chips.
  4. Put the dough onto greased baking sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.
  5. Cool and enjoy!
