With nine games behind them and six league games left, Westmont’s varsity volleyball team is off to a great start! So far, the team holds a league record of four and two. With 16 players on the team, the girls have been working hard and are ready to pass, set, and hit into the second half of the season. Sophomore Rucha Chavan reveals the team’s cheer, “uno mas.” This cheer exhibits how the team constantly pushes each other and never gives up–no matter what. Junior Keira De Vita expresses, “we all work together really and it’s a really fun environment.” Make sure to attend the team’s next game on October 18 at Leland High, when they face up against a formerly beaten team. You can also cheer for your fellow warriors at their next home game on October 20 when the girls rematch against Leigh!
