On August 4 the National Football League (NFL)’s first preseason game took place between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Jacksonville Jaguars in an annual NFL game held the weekend of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s induction ceremonies. The preseason game brought in a total of 5.48 million concurrent views and ended with a final score of 27 to 11 in favor of the Raiders. Every football fan began to get excited about their favorite team’s first preseason game myself included. After four weeks of preseason games, many major stories have hit the news including one of the highest-paid quarterbacks, Deshawn Watson in NFL history facing an 11-week suspension due to sexual misconduct allegations. Beginning with the Pittsburgh Steelers, the three-way quarterback competition, Kenny Picket (R), Mitch Trubisky, Mason Rudolph, there is still an ongoing debate on which player will get the starting role in the Steelers rooster. Another quarterback battle that occurred was between the Seattle Seahawks’ Drew Lock and Geno Smith. However, unlike the ongoing battle in Pittsburg Headcoach,Pete Caroll, has named Geno Smith as the starting quarterback for the Seattle Seahawks. In other news, the New Vegas Raiders have been named the worst drafting team in recent memory with no remaining players from the 2021 or 2020 first round and all three first-round picks in the 2019 draft have had their 5th year declined. Overall, there is not much to talk about as it is only the preseason meaning that all stats and highlights have to be taken with a grain of salt as it is all 2nd and 3rd string players.
