When items come back in style, most don’t realize the previous relevancy until someone’s mom declares, “Those used to be in when I was in high school!” All styles recycle back in style; however, their revival isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Thrift stores remain a great example, and in addition to their positive effect on the environment, the stores are extremely sustainable. While some items may look better on you than the next person, fashion works for you and should aid your confidence and comfort in your own body.
Style tip:
Find a style that compliments your skin tone. Adding an accessory or some funky cute heels will really take your look up a notch! You’ll notice your clothing items will start to blend if you let your tastes dictate your style. Branch out of your comfort zone. Your clothing and accessory choices will illustrate your personality. You’ll have a versatile style that will stand out in a crowd. If you choose a shirt that doesn’t seem to go with anything, chances are you’ll eventually buy a set of pants in a suitable style.
Shopping tip:
You can look at outfits online to get an idea of what you like. Do an image search, a fashion website, or even a clothing retailer website. Consider how items are put together to get an idea of what kinds of things you would like to wear. Look for those items while you thrift!
2000’s
I don’t think low rise jeans are making a huge comeback, so we must continue to love our high-rise jeans. In addition, crop tops are there to show off your beautiful figure as well as make your mom or dad look at you twice before you leave the house.
Baggy clothes
Jeans, shirts, shoes—all became excessively baggy and popular in the 90s to 2000s era due to hip hop artists such as Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, etc. The aesthetic of baggy attire is most definitely making a comeback for girls and boys due to the comfort and style of wearing them.
