Things To Do on a Full Moon

By Laila Barboza

On a full moon, it’s a good idea to take a step back to reflect and relax. So here are some things to keep in mind for the next full moon!

Journal

On the night of the full moon, it is a good idea to write affirmations or goals you want to achieve until the next moon comes and to keep track of what you can do in that time. Of course, you can also just write whatever your heart wants to put down on paper.

Spend some time outside with nature.

Connecting your body with nature helps heal the aura when feeling sad, stressed, or having a bad day. Feel free to find a nice grass field, and taking your shoes off will make you feel closer to earth.

If you believe or have crystals, charge them.

Charging your crystals helps to build up positive energy. If you don’t have any crystals, I highly recommend popping into a crystal shop soon and letting the crystals guide you. Pick the one you feel attracted to ask the person working to help guide you. After that, you can even do some research of your own.

Eat a natural meal (something healthy, perhaps).

Making your body feel good is key. It’s true when they say you are what you eat. When eating something light and healthy, you will feel that way. It’s good to fill yourself up with food too. It’s all about balance. Eating something natural will make your body thank you. Making yourself a yummy smoothie bowl with extra granola is always my go-to.

Give thanks to someone or something.

Sometimes we are so preoccupied with all the stresses in our lives that we forget to be thankful for what we have and who is there for us through the good and bad days. So on the day of a full moon, it is a good idea to tell your loved ones how much you appreciate them.

Meditate and relax

Through all the day’s chaos, all I need to do to help feel calm and let things go is to meditate. I especially like to set out my yoga mat. Invite a friend to meet you at the park if you want some company. Bring some calming music, and don’t forget to pack your crystals if you feel up to it. Meditation is even better if you have access to the beach. Listening to and watching the waves is the ultimate meditation process.
