Every Euphoria High wannabe will be tuning in to HBO Max every Sunday at 9 p.m. to watch the new season of Euphoria. Finally, after 2 years of the Euphoria hype, the second season came out and did not fail to strike the teenage audience once again. Those who don’t have the time or money to watch Euphoria will likely still listen to the incredible soundtrack of both seasons. Labrinth takes all the credit for the first season soundtrack of Euphoria as he offered a 26 track album with intense melodies and unique lyrics. Although the first season soundtrack still sends chills up viewers’ spines to this day, the second season soundtrack offers a lot more musical and lyrical diversity. Season two still consists of the iconic songs from season one, but also includes masterpieces (my personal favorites) such as, “Right Down the Line” by Gerry Rafferty, “Dead of Night” by Orville Peck, and “Dirty Work” by Steely Dan. Allowing for a greater variety of genres, Season two also brings back famous hip-hop songs such as “Narcos” by Migos and old-school hip-hop from artists like The Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac. Fun fact: the brilliant Euphoria directors played Biggie Smalls during Jacob Elordi (Nate)’s scenes and gave actor Angus Cloud (Fezco) music from 2Pac in order to foreshadow their brawl in season two. Overall, the soundtrack for Season 2 of Euphoria is superior and I highly recommend checking out this playlist and adding these songs to yours.
