The very articulate artist: The Weeknd, has released many top hits this year, with the latest one being “Moth To a Flame.” In this latest release the whole vibe to the song seems calming, but when paying close attention to the lyrics, the song goes from calming to toxic. Somehow he managed to pull off his toxicity well enough where you can’t immediately notice that he’s referring to his toxic nature. With the opening of the song he states how he is the flame and her ex is the moth, where he will always pull her in, but he may not be the best for her. To continue, in the next part The Weeknd goes on to say that he will let her go with him instead of making her stay with him. Although, as the music piece goes on, he has no shame to mention that she calls him, has pictures of him behind her new boyfriend’s back. To add, The Weeknd also mentions that her new boyfriend knows why she cries all the time. This reason being that she misses Abel (The Weeknd).
