When it comes to fashion at Westmont High School, Bryan Gomez is hard to miss. With his eccentric style, Bryan certainly is one of Westmont’s more fashionable students. Often wearing unique jeans or pants with an eye-catching belt or chain to stand out, he is definitely not one to stay in the box regarding his outfits.
Describe your style in 3 words:
This is stupid.
Who are your fashion icons?
Anyone from the hyperpop, glitchcore, or digicore scene. Everyone from that community kind of dresses how they want and most of the time they end up looking really cool. I kind of use them as a guideline and then build off of their styles. I also really look up to anime and movies. I take inspiration from anything from the anime Soul Eater to the film Fallen Angels in order to build up my aesthetic and sense of fashion.
What is a go-to item in your wardrobe?
It would definitely be white Air Force 1s and probably the thrifted jeans I wear from time to time. I just think the combination of the two looks cool and styling it all with a cool belt makes everything look sick.
Where do you get your clothes from?
It depends. Most items people tend to compliment me on have been thrifted. I don’t necessarily go to any one store specifically, I usually just go to any mall and get whatever catches my eye.
What is a fashion trend you love?
Balaclavas are really trending right now and I think it’s sick. I like how Kanye West and Playboi Carti stray away from basic balaclavas and do their own thing. Plus, it shows how the face doesn’t matter when it comes to fashion.
One you hate?
Skinny jeans, but I mean… I used to rock ’em so…
Any fashion tips?
I don’t know anything about fashion. I don’t even know where I get ideas for my outfits. I just wear whatever I think is cool. If you want fashion tips, I’m not the person you’re looking for. Just look at others and base your outfits off of them, maybe that will help.
