On September 8, 2007, the teen sitcom ICarly was released, starring Miranda Cosgrove as Carly Shay, Jennette McCurdy as Sam Puckett, Nathan Kress as Freddie Benson, Jerry Trainor as Spencer Shay, and Noah Munch as Gibby. The show consists of Carly and her best friends starting their own webshow. Freddie acts as their tech-savvy cameraman, and Sam as  her co-star. Fans from around the world love their banter and insist on more content. 

Drake & Josh

Producer Dan Schnieder released a new sitcom Drake & Josh on January 11, 2004. The main characters included Josh Peck as Josh Nicholas, Drake Bell as Drake Parker, Miranda Cosgrove as Megan Parker, Nancy Sullivan as Audrey Parker-Nichols, and Jonathan Goldstein as Walter Nichols. Drake and Josh became stepbrothers and were forced to share a room after their parents’ marriage, despite being total opposites. Drake was a popular, laid-back guy, and Josh, a shy, intelligent individual. The show follows the two step-brothers as they embarked on adventures while trying to acclimate to their new living circumstances.

Zoey 101

Zoey 101 first aired on January 9, 2005, Starring Jamie Lynn Spears as Zoey Brooks. Her entourage included her TV brother Paul Butcher as Dustin Brooks, and her friends, Sean Flynn as Chase Mathews, Kristen Herrera as Dana Cruz, Matthew Underwood as Logan Reese, Christopher Massey as Micheal Barret, and Erin Sanders as Quinn Pensky. Zoey Brooks enrolls at Pacific Coast Academy, a previously boys only boarding school. The series follows her as she makes friends and manages a major life transition.

Big Time Rush

Scott Fellows created the four-season show Big Time Rush. It was released on November 28, 2009. Big Time Rush focuses on four teenage hockey players from Minnesota; Kendall Schmidt as Kendall Knight, James Maslow as James Diamond, Carlos Pena Jr. as Carlos Garcia, and Logan Henderson as Logan Mitchell. Kendalls younger sister Katie Knight who is played by Ciara Bravo and Stephen Kramer Clickman who plays the boy’s crazy manager Gustavo also star in this iconic show. Gustavo chose the four boys to form the next up-and-coming boy band. Gustavo relocates them to Hollywood and launches their careers as the show follows their adventures and lessons in a new environment.  


Nickelodeon’s Dan Shnieder yet again created one of the best Nickelodeon shows, Victorious which aired on March 27, 2010. Starring main character Tori Vega played by Victoria Justice, Ariana Grandea as Cat Valentine, Avan Jogia as Beck Oliver, Elizabeth Gillies as Jade West, Leon Thomas III as Andre Harris, Matt Bennett as Robbie Shapiro, and Daniella Monet as Trina Vega, Tori’s older sister. Tori was accepted into a highschool for talented teens called Hollywood Arts. Victorious follows Tori’s experience as she tries to fit into her new school, where all eyes are on her.

Spongebob Squarepants Spongebob Square pants is a Nickelodeon cartoon that features Spongebob, Gary, Patrick Star, Squidward Tentacles, Mr. Krabs, Sandy Cheeks, Plankton, and many more characters. The cartoon follows Spongebob and his aquatic friends as they live in the fictional underwater city, Bikini Bottom.
