TUPE Peer Advocates

By Jennifer Halas

Introducing Westmont High School’s TUPE Peer Advocates!  TUPE stands for Tobacco Use Prevention Education Program which creates awareness for students, staff and community on drug and tobacco use and making healthy choices. Peer Advocates are trained and supported volunteers offering peer-to-peer services to help with student success, health, and school culture. They are campus leaders who have a desire to spread the tobacco/drug-free and wellness message to their peers on campus.

Westmont Peer Advocates will be sharing more information throughout the year as well as recognizing National Take Down Tobacco Day, April 1, 2021!  National Take Down Tobacco Day is a day of action on raising awareness on tobacco use in your community, encouraging youth to stay tobacco-free, and to reach elected officials on implementing policies on tobacco control.
