1.Ferris Bueler’s Day Off
Ferris Bueler’s Day Off has to be the most liked movie from the 80s across all Gen X. This movie tells a story about a teenage boy who takes a day off. This day is filled with adventure, problems, and a love story. Ferris’ charm and likability wins himself another free day.
2.Star Wars (“Empire Strikes Back” and “Return of the Jedi”)
The Star Wars saga has been popular since 1977 and has continued to grow and continue to be popular today. Star Wars changed the expectations for all movies in Hollywood while dominating the charts for grossing movies. Before Star Wars, special effects did not change until the 1950s, but since 1977 movies had to step up their game.

The fantasy adventure comedy, tells the story of a farmhand named Wesley that soon attempts to rescue his one and only love Buttercup from the irksome Prince Humperdink. Wesley, the farm boy turned pirate, encounters numerous obstacles, enemies and allies in his quest to be reunited with his true love.
