With hard work and dedication, Alex Morgan has slowly adjusted back into her soccer lifestyle. After giving birth to her daughter, Charlie Elena Carrasco, on May 7, 2020, Morgan trained diligently to come back stronger than ever, promising her return in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Due to Covid-19, this year’s Olympics were cancelled, revealing Morgan’s new plan of action to get back on track. Previously playing with Orlando Pride, she is headed to England to play with the Women’s Super League Tottenham Hotspurs until the end of the year. Her decision came down to being able to play consistently, something which the professional soccer teams in the U.S. were not able to provide. Another contribution that the NSWL was able to arrange for players was the ability to play without the fear and limitations of Covid-19. Many other players have also moved to the NSWL for the same reason. The anticipation to see what Morgan has in store leads to unrest. This soccer superstar has been one of the dominant goal scorers in the USWNT with 107 goals and 43 assists in 169 caps under her belt. With a new team and environment, Alex Morgan may be able to make her revolutionary comeback sooner than later.
